I think this piece came from an architects office, it’s a tower of 10 drawers, made of oak, possibly from the 1920’s – 30’s.
It has cast iron drawer handles, with space in the handles for drawer content cards.
Looks to me as if it could be a storage cabinet for drawings. If so the inside width of the drawers would be likely at least 36" or 48".’

The Perry Office Plus headquarters is a “working showroom”, so sometimes we end up selling furniture we’re actually using. That’s just what happened in Shelli’s office and after using temporary furniture for a few weeks, the office gets a makeover with brand new HON Valido in the new Columbian Walnut laminate finish. Watch the time-lapse as our installers remove the old furniture and setup Shelli’s new office.

I’m moving in to a new office and I’m looking to finally make it the way I want to. I choose the colors, materials everything. So I have a question about the furniture – I decided to go with wood office furniture. What should I look out for? How to choose, where to buy? Any tip would be helpful.
Thanks
Good choice. Solid wood will last you years and years. Basically, choose whatever suits you most. If you like more modern style offices, go for clear, simple lines. If you are more of traditional type, there are really nice pieces of antique furniture you can find online.
Make sure you visit Amazon for user reviews. You can find objective comments there, because people aren’t going to make everything pink and perfect there if the product is not good. Also, consider buying online. It’s easy and secure.
If you like light colors of walls, go for darker tones of furniture, if you have bright colored walls, white furniture is nice. Some guy who’s interior decorator opened a website about this at so check it out for some useful info there. He also talks about maintaining furniture and other related stuff.

At Woodley’s & Kacey Fine Furniture in the Denver metro area I have seen knicked/worn floor models of home office furniture made by Aspen Furniture. I am curious whether this is indicitive of the quality of the pieces and/or the manufacturer, or is it because the floor models have gotten moved around/abused at the store. The pieces are made out of hardwood & veneers. I REALLY like the collection & feel it is what I need & in my price range. However, I don’t want to spend money on something that won’t last but a couple years. Please advise!

I have a square room with large windows on the south wall, a smaller window on the east wall, a closet on the north wall, and an empty east wall. I have a large bookcase, a small cabinet, and two desks I am trying to arrange to be practical but not overwhelm and crowd the room, especially since it’s all dark wood furniture. I’ve tried angling some of the pieces, separating the desks, putting the desks together to increase my workspace . . . I’m just confusing myself? Any suggestions? And please don’t suggest those furniture arranging programs, I’d really just like to hear people’s actual visions for arranging the furniture. Thank you!
How about putting one desk under the south window…then use the 2nd desk to form an L shape…(unless a 2nd person will be using this desk). If 2 people will be using the desks, put them under the south windows facing each other.
Then put the large bookcase on the east wall… under the window or beside it…with the small cabinet on the north wall (by the closet door).
With this arrangement, you can see out both windows and the door.
Have you thought about painting the desks a lighter color so the room won’t be full of dark wood?
